Free Fun for Kids

Summer has just started, and it seems like the kids and I have already become restless and ready for some fun! I decided to put a list of free family friendly activities you could enjoy on those days you are aching to get out of the house.

Phoenix Childrens Museum
Thanks to Target, the Phoenix Children's Museum is now offering Free First Friday Nights to families from 6 - 10pm every first friday of every month. You could even take the light rail to make this a more exciting journey!

Bass Pro Shop
I LOVE taking the kids to Bass Pro Shop, and my hubby loves it even more! Every Tuesday night they offer a Free Kid's Night from 5 - 8pm with popcorn, rock climbing, laser arcade, an archery range, crafts, and a fish feeding (6pm).

The Home Depot
Don't miss out on the Free Kid's Workshops available the first Saturday of each month from 9am - noon. Each child will have a free project, an orange apron, and an achievement badge!

The Stuffington Bear Factory
If you live close to this surviving bear factory, it might be worth a visit! They offer 15-20 minute Free Behind the Scene Tours Monday - Saturday at 1pm.

Wildflower Bread Company
Stop on by every Wednesday from 3:30 - 4pm for a free cookie, milk, and craft!! YUMMMM!

Barnes & Noble
Feed your children's imaginations with Barnes & Noble's Free Storytime for Kids. There are lots of different locations, times, and books. Check out this Event Calendar for one near you!

Splash Pads
Its getting hot out, but if you have more than one young child, it can be pretty hard to take them to a pool. Splash Pads are safe, stress free alternatives to help the whole family cool down and have some fun! This great article has a list of lots of different locations, amenities, and even some pictures!
