I finally gathered all of my coupons for this week's deals together, and put them to good use yesterday. I was beyond excited when I found more women's Nivea body wash. I had been practically stalking a few Fry's stores in my area, waiting for them to get more in. Not only did I find some, but I was able to use a coupon for men's Nivea body wash when Fry's added it to their Mega savings event. AMAZING!!! My Savvy Fry's Shopping Trip - 5/4

I went on a mini shopping trip yesterday to get some of the best deals, before they were gone. I usually break my shopping trips up in the week, because my kids can only sit quietly in a grocery store for a limited amount of time. Unfortunately, out of both of the Fry's stores I went to, I was only able to find four of the Nivea bodywashes. I knew this moneymaker item would fly off the shelf! Hopefully they get some more in before the end of this week. If not, there is always the option of a raincheck! Here is the findings of my shopping trip yesterday:

Fry's Deals 4/4 - 4/10

Its Wednesday, the most exciting day of the week! Every Wednesday morning I run out the front door to grab the newspaper, and sit down with the brand new weekly grocery ads. There are some great deals this week! To make sure I didn't miss any deals that were not featured in the ad, the kiddos and I went on a walk around Fry's. They ate cookies in the double stroller, while I documented each and every item I thought had a great price tag. 

This week Fry's has a Buy 10 Save $5 Mega Event going on. These mega events make for some great deals, but the trick is to plan out what you want to buy before you go. As you go through the list, remember:

- All manufacturer coupons are worth a $1.00 no matter their face value ( coupons with a face value greater than a dollar will be worth their face value)

-All mega event items will only be discounted at the register in quantities of ten. You do not have to get 10 of each item. You CAN mix and match. Make sure you count your products before you get to the register, because missing even one item will disqualify the $5.00 savings!

-You can get as many of the mega event items as you would like. You will get $5.00 off for each ten, or $0.50 off each one that you purchase. For example, if you buy 100 mega event items, you will receive a total of $50.00 off your purchase.


- If the store is completely out of an item, make sure you get a raincheck that you can use even after the sale has ended!!!

I just got back from Fry's on Lindsay and Broadway in Mesa. They have select varieties of Kraft Natural Shredded Cheese With A Touch of Philadelphia on managers special for only $0.99!!! No coupon needed! This is a great deal and will go fast. Managers specials are only specific to the stores they are found at. It usually means that they have a large supply they need to get rid of. If this Fry's is close to you, you have a great deal on your hands!

I just got a great $10 off of $50 Fresh and Easy coupon emailed to me! Remember, you can use it at Fry's AFTER all of your coupons and discounts. Ten dollars sure goes a long way when you are buying sale items even cheaper with coupons! You can use one per transaction, so if your purchase is going to add up to more than $100 after coupons and discounts, split it up into two transactions, use one coupon for each transaction, and end up paying around only $80!

Savvy Tool - The Price List

When you first start out couponing, or you are trying to stock up on something you don't normally buy, it is hard to know when you really find a good sale. My favorite tool is the "Price List" made by Pinching Your Pennies. This price list includes a decent amount of items and along with "ok" prices and the super deal prices. For example, for deodorant, you will see 

         Antiperspirant/ Deodorant         $1.50     $1.00    <$.50

If you pay $1.50/ deodorant, you are getting a 3 star price. If you pay $1.00, you are getting a good deal, but it is only a 4 star price. Anything priced $0.50 and under is a 5 star deal worth stocking up on! The list can be found under the resources section of pinchingyourpennies.com. Mind you, this list does not have even close to everything on it, but its great for starting out. After a while, you will know the average price of most products. Which could really be useful if you ever end up on "The Price is Right" !

Walgreens Body Wash Freebie 5/1 - 5/7

Although Walgreens is not my favorite place to use coupons, I could not pass this awesome deal up. Free Right Guard body wash! This will make the man in your life very happy! Just be aware that most Walgreens will give you a pretty hard time about coupons. Just stick to your guns, and you should be ok! If all else fails...bring the store coupon policy with you!
